Christmas in Taylor

Each year, we go down to Taylor the weekend before Christmas to celebrate with Jon's family. This year, we all went to Grandpa's house for the big celebration! Caiden had so much fun playing with everyone and his new toys. He LOVED the swords that mommy and daddy got from Aunt Kimmy and his new Diego truck from Aunt Donna (an early b-day gift!)

Only in Texas can you go to the park to feed the ducks and play without pants, four days before Chirstmas! Caiden jeans kept falling down because they were too big around the waist so Aunt Donna took them off! Caiden had a blast playing with Grandma on the playground =)

Big Boy Bed!!!

Since Caiden was able to climb in and out of his pack and play, we decided it was time to move him to his big boy room over Christmas so we'd have time to adjust! He LOVED the idea of sleeping in there and had a great first nap in his new room.

We made it through the first night (although when I woke up at 4am to go to the bathroom, I couldn't go back to sleep!) without any problems. He didn't even try to climb out!

Christmas Parade

On Friday night, we went to the downtown Wylie Christmas Parade with Caiden's friends, Addi and Rowan. We parked at our friend's daycare (where Caiden may start going next year!) and walked down to the main street. We found a place at the start of the parade to sit and the kids had a BLAST!

Please Read...

I encourage you to scroll down my page and read my friend Tracy's blog (it's titled Sievers Stories) This Sunday is a very important day in her family's life as well as all of us who knew her sweet baby boy, Nash. Nash passed away this summer due to some heart complications and although he is thought of every single day, he will most definitely be remembered Sunday evening.

Bad Things Come in Three's

So Caiden still has yucky diapers but the fever he picked up has gone. Jon went to the high school football games yesterday and while he was at Humperdinks with the guys afterwards, he started to feel sick. He left after a few minutes after being there, and ended up getting sick driving on 635. Not the easiest times to deal with that. By 11, I started to feel yucky but just thought it was all in my head since Caiden and now Jon were both sick. NOPE, it hit me by midnight. I think it's passing through us a lot quicker than poor Caiden though.

On top of having to cancel the cookie exchange, I am now having to back out of going to lunch and a movie with some of my friends =( If I feel better by lunch, maybe I'll just go to the movie!!! Not a fun weekend!

Not a good combination...

At 11pm last night, Caiden decided everything in his stomach, must come out. It was EVERYWHERE. From there, he continued to throw up twice an hour until 8 this morning. That means I got 3, 20 minute periods of sleep last night =)

Then his body decided it was tired of getting things out just going "north", so it all started exiting "south." Jon stayed home with him today since I had a meeting at school. Poor little guy has still got it coming out both ends but he's starting to play some so maybe there is hope! If it's a 24 hour bug, we've only got 5 more hours to go!!!

Needless to say, I didn't think throw up and cookies went too well together so we had to cancel our cookie exchange we had planned at the house this afternoon. We decided to just swap em' at school so we still ended up with some yummy treats! There's always next year...maybe we'll call it the 2nd 1/2 Annual Cookie Exchange!
