A Windy Weekend

Since we got rained out of camping last weekend, we decided to book a spot last minute at Lake Lavon for this weekend.  Although we dealt with a few sprinkles Sunday morning, we got lucky with the temperatures.  What we weren't lucky with was the wind.

We met our friends Jon, Chilet, and Ausitn out at the lake, and invited Matt, Jamey, and Addi to come along for weekend too!  The three kids had a blast playing together.  Caiden and Austin went fishing for the first time although Caiden didn't really understand what he was doing!  They rode their 4-wheelers, jumped in the bounce house, went on walks in the wagon, flew their kites, and played with glowsticks.

And last but not least...the last time we were out at Lake Lavon, Chilet managed to cut her leg open on a horseshoe stake.  Here is the after shot of the famous, "17 stitches later" cut!

Bluebonnets!

We were running late to church this morning so we decided to detour and find a field of bluebonnets to take some pictures since we were already dressed up!  It was a little wet outside, so it was difficult getting some good shots-just a reason to go back!  Thanks Amy for sharing your secret photo set!

A Poo-Poo Playdate!!!

Chilet and Jon came over for dinner since our camping trip got canceled due to rain.  Jon made an AWESOME shrimp dip and we had a great time catching up with the Stewards.  The little boys went to the park and are really starting to interact with each other more!  It is so fun to see them grow up together!  

Caiden had a glorious moment after bath time tonight.  Austin needed to go potty, so of course, Caiden needed to go too (that's what he does everytime Addi has to go but he just sits there...he doesn't understand what you actually do on the potty!)  I heard him toot and I asked him if he did and he said, "no, I went poo-poo"  Sure enough, he did!  I freaked out and we all celebrated in the bathroom.  He LoVeD looking at his poo-poo in the potty and was very sad when daddy flushed it down the big potty!

Easter morning...

 

  

Caiden loved waking up and finding his Easter basket filled with candy and toys!  He wanted to eat all the candy at once, but was happy with his chocolate Krispie Kreme donut!  We spent the morning watching Caiden play with his new toys then headed off to a gorgeous church in downtown Tulsa.  Sister stayed home with Caiden a fixed us a wonderful lunch!

Tulsa Trip!

What a great weekend!  Jon and I hadn't been to Tulsa since Caiden's first summer when he was only 5 months old!  Sister always comes "home" because mom and dad are there!  Our drive started out with a bang...more like a blow-out!  The tire blew an hour into the trip but we were lucky and the spare turned out to be a full tire, so we made it to Tulsa without having to buy another tire on the way!  Aunt TT made Caiden chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast on Sat. morning and Bebe and Poppy drove in for the Easter festivities too!  Caideh had a blast finding eggs and playing with his Aunt TT!  The "cousins" (aka, Buster, Bane, and Roxy) have been worn out playing with each other too!

  

   

My good friend who I taught with at the famous Boggess Elementary, Gentry, came to Tulsa and stopped by sister's house!  I got to see baby Jachin for the first time and Caiden loved him!  He is so curious about babies and loved helping put his pacifier in!  Jachin is SO cute...it's hard believing Caiden was that young two years ago!  Thanks for stopping by Gentry!!!

Easter Eggs!

We started the weekend off grilling out and dying Easter Eggs, then took Caiden and Addi to our church Easter Egg Hunt.  They had a blast.  Caiden had a rough time sitting on the Easter Bunny's lap, but he gave him a high five!  And, as if we need more candy at the house, Jon won 695 jellybeans by having the closest guess of 612!
