Texoma to Tulsa

Camping trip #3...rained out. We just aren't having good luck this season! So, we packed up and headed to Tulsa instead to visit Aunt TT-Caiden loves it there and we don't make it up often enough! Although it rained most of the time there too, we still had fun and ate a ton of fatty food! Caiden was spoiled like always and came home with a new grill so he can help daddy cook out back! Thanks Aunt TT and Sean-had a blast doing nothing, relaxing!

Caiden looking at the baby for the first time...excuse myself-we had just woken up!

Breaking the News...

Since my appointment today went really well (strong heartbeat: 162bpm) we decided to tell Caiden he news at dinner. The first thing we said was that he was going to be a big brother. He laughed and said, "Are you kidding me?!" We are so sad we didn't have the video camera going because it was hysterical!

He didn't really get it at first...after we explained that he may have a little sister (like Rosie on Cailiou) or a brother (like Max on Max and Ruby) he said, "I don't want a sister!" (Is that a sign!?) So, we made it clear that we didn't know what the baby would be yet.

He totally doesn't get WHY the baby is in my tummy either. He said, "You ate it?" Haha. Really? We told him God puts the baby there so he/she can grow in a safe place and he just kept asking, "Why?"

This is exactly why I wasn't in a huge hurry to tell him...I knew he just would get why the baby is inside of me! But, he was excited once we told him all of the fun things he would get to do to help us. Then, he forgot about the whole conversation in less than 30 seconds and wanted more chips and salsa!

"I Gotta Roll"

Caiden has a Trike-a-Thon at school in a few weeks and I hesitated signing him up. Not because we didn't want to raise money for St. Jude's, but because the kid has a monster tractor that goes by the push of a pedal. Totally not the same as "bike riding." So, I started thinking about it, and realized how sad he would be when all of his friends brought their bikes to school, and he didn't have his. Oh well if his teachers have to push him to make it around one lap!

We bought him a helmet (they have to have one, so now do we have to get one too?!) and decided today was the day he was going to attempt riding his tricycle. Thinking he wouldn't go anywhere, I snapped a picture of him right away!

The little guy did SO stinkin' good! He pedaled all the way around to the park (and then of course had to stop and play!) Jon had to push start him and guide him a little and then he was able to take off on his own-as long as it wasn't uphill!
He met a little boy at the park who he called "the red boy" because he had on a red shirt! When we left he told the red boy, "I gotta roll!" Ha-Where do they get these things?

Easter!gs

Easter Egg Hunt at Church
We headed over Sat. morning for our church Easter Egg Hunt. Caiden racked up on eggs and even got a hug from the Easter Bunny!

Easter Morning!
The Easter Bunny left Caiden a note saying he needed to find the 9 eggs that were hidden in the living room. C loved it! We ate some chocolate with our breakfast then headed off to church. Caiden got to sit in "big church" with us since there were no Sunday School classes. He did pretty good although it's not something I would want to do each week!

Easter Lunch at Mom's

Caiden loved having another Easter Egg Hunt with Mimi and even shared his eggs with her. He had no interest dying the eggs because he was having so much fun finding and re-hiding eggs!
