Donuts!

Austin spent the night with Austin Sunday night so we decided to have a donut party on Monday morning with all of Caiden's friends! They were so excited when they woke up that everyone was coming over for breakfast and some sprinkler fun in the backyard!

LoVe it!

Even though I'm supposed to be off of my feet as much as possible, I wanted to add a little spunk to Caiden's art wall! I used the frames in the art gallery set from UL, changed out the ribbon, and spiced up the clothespins. Turned out SuPeR cute!

Vacation Bible School

VBS 2010 Mommy and Me
Galactic Blast!

We were so glad our good friends Tiffany and Reagan joined us this year for VBS. Caiden and Reagan had a great time playing together all week and became best buds even though they are 14 mo. apart! Caiden did so much better this year participating in class with his teacher. It was a wonderful week of activities learning about God and making new friends. It's hard to believe that next year Caiden will move up to the 4's class and go to VBS all by himself!

Music class! Dancing with a scarf...daddy will love this one!

"Recess" time-Showing Reagan how the big trucks work!

This toy was a hit the whole week! Blast-off!

Father's Day!

The Steward's decided to come spend the night with us on Sat night; the boys had been begging to play together again and once one of us makes the drive, it's easier (and more fun) to just stay the night. We relaxed at the pool and Caiden and Austin slept on their "sleepover pallet" in Caiden's room...a true slumber party!
We woke up Sunday and made the dads a true Father's Day breakfast: eggs, hash browns, biscuits, bacon, fruit, and T-bone steaks! The dads actually grilled the steaks b/c we were too afraid to mess them up even more (we had already accidently cut some of the meat off of the bone while marinating it Sat night and learned that was not a good thing to do!) It was a wonderful way to start the day off!
After the Steward's went home, we took a trip to Wal-Mart to get Caiden's first slip n' slide, stopped by Subway for lunch, and then by Race Track to buy our summer cups ($6.99 and you can refill it ALL summer with fountain/Slurpee drinks!) Jon snuck in some practice time at the golf course while C and I took a nap before we busted out with the new water toy! Caiden didn't really understand how to make himself slide and needed help from dad! He'll get it one day! A GREAT Father's Day!

Zebra

So, we were watching Racing Stripes for the first time tonight while eating dinner. At the beginning of the movie, a baby zebra was left behind as his family is taken away in the rain with the rest of the circus animals. Caiden realized that the baby zebra was sad, and I looked at Buster and said, "Awe, that's what happened to you bud." Caiden responded by asking, "When he was a zebra?" He had no idea that Buster has never been (and will never be) a zebra! I had to explain to him that Buster was left on a road when he was a baby too and that's why I said that!

Yes, Caiden needs a haircut-Jon is on his way to get new clippers right now!

Summer Hobby

I'm all about staying inside working on my scrapbooks away from the heat, but Jon for some reason gets his kicks out in the sun hitting a ball at a hole way too far away to even be able to see without binoculars. And, since "little bit" is a clone of his daddy, he's taken up the sport of golf too. Not sure if we have a future player on our hands, but he loves being out there practicing and driving the "jeep." Thank goodness Jon got a super deal at Woodbridge b/c he's seriously been out there everyday since we've been back from San Antonio!

Fun with Friends

Thanks Barrett and Reagan for coming to play!

Spending Time with Aunt Casey!

We decided to stay the night in Leander with Casey and Steven so we could hang out just a little bit longer! Caiden had a great time swimming and even practiced getting better at his "loosing tantrums" while playing Mickey Mouse Tic Tac Toe. Thanks Aunt Casey and Uncle Steven for letting us stay with you.

San Antonio...The Random Pics!

We had a blast on our trip and did a ton of things in just a few days...
I feel like most of our trip was eating at the places we don't normally get to go to (Hard Rock, The Rainforest Cafe, Ice Cream shops, and some of the local places too!) We rode the boat on the river tour, watched lots of ducks swim up and down the river, went to Splashtown, swam at the hotel, and ate some more! First trip of the summer = success!

Hilton Homewood Suites on the Riverwalk!

The Rainforest Cafe

Lulu's Cafe and the famous 3 pound cinnamon roll featured on Man vs. Food. Although several of us had already eaten breakfast, we still couldn't finish it with 6 of us attempting!
It really was HUGE!

The Alamo!

Our trip to the Alamo was definitely a non-educational experience for us this round like we expected it to be with a 3 year old! Jon and I walked through with Caiden in about 2 minutes and headed straight towards the gift shop where we bought a 30+ piece indian and cowboy toy set. Later when we were talking about our day, Caiden said, "And, we went to the Alamo to get toys!" He obviously didn't get it! We got some great family pictures though, and Caiden enjoyed being our line leader guiding us around!
