Rough Rider's Baseball Game

Holy cow it was HOT at the game! The temp for the day was 102 and I think it had to have been even hotter than that on the field. We stayed in the shade as long as possible before going to our seat to keep the kids out of the sun. Once our seats were FINALLY shaded, it was MUCH better. You know it's hot when you're sweeting just sitting in the stands!

We bought tickets from a former student of mine, Danille, as a fundraiser for EC Athletics and got to watch her perform at pre-game and then again during the game. She (and her three sisters!) are amazing competitors! Loved sitting by them during the game!

The kids had a blast running around playing (not really watching the game!) Austin was even given a foul ball caught by Danielle's dad!

Watching the baseball game with Daddy!

Trying on his new hat!

Getting an autograph from #19, Tanner Roark, one of the pitchers!

Watching the fireworks after the game! It was a LATE night for Caiden but he enjoyed every minute of it! It was his first baseball game and he can't wait to go back!

VBS

Caiden and I spent a week at Camp E.D.G.E. Mommy and Me Vacation Bible School at our church this past week. We had so much fun doing the smaller and shorter (thank goodness...2 1/2 hours was good enough!) version of the regular VBS program. We started every morning with an introduction with Sparks the Fox (who Caiden loved!) and donating money to the mission. Caiden got a kick out of putting money in the backpacks! We made crafts, sang songs, danced, had snacks, listened to Bible stories, did science experiments, and even had a petty zoo on the last day. Lots of fun! Since we are potty training, we would take breaks every 20-30 minutes to go to the bathroom and I'm pleased to say, he made it through each day without an accident!

Snack time!

Father's Day 2009

Jon woke up super early to play a round of golf at 6:56am. CrAzY!!! But, he had fun so I guess it was worth it! We had mom, dad, and Mimi over for dinner to celebrate the day. Jon made out pretty good with a new golf bag, Wii remote chargers, and some pictures of Caiden and Daddy. I love watching him with Caiden, he is such a great daddy!

We are so thankful for Poppy and love seeing his love carry down to Caiden. Caiden loves playing with Poppy and eating his cookies!

Four Generations!

(Well, looking at corn with Daddy! Caiden doesn't eat corn-it's a vegetable!!!)

Celebration Park

Caiden had a playdate with Rowan and Addi and Celebration Park. He wasn't much for the water but he had a great time just being outdoors swinging and playing on the playground!

Painting!

I got a wide hair today and decided to paint an accent wall in Caiden's room. We already had the paint from the old house so it worked out perfect! And, I had a little helper!

Tulsa, TT, and Toliets!

After the farm we drove to Tulsa to visit Aunt TT. Caiden loves going to TT's house! He has been doing really well with potty training but like any kid, he's had his accidents too! Sorry TT for the couch and chair! Aunt TT has a hurt foot so Caiden knew to be careful and that she couldn't walk as much. He kept trying to make it better!

Reading with Aunt TT

Thanks TT for the mini kitchen

The Farm!

Our trip to Jamey's family farm was a blast! Caiden loved being with the animals and one of his best friends, Addi! Although it was hot, the kids had a blast with Hogan, Addi's cousin, swimming in the hot tub, chasing the chickens in the "chicken barn", watching the snake get killed, and riding the gator. We got to make the rounds feeding the cows in the morning and then gathering the eggs from the chickens in the afternoon. Caiden was worn out and took 3 hour naps each afternoon!

Some of the moments that made me realize Caiden isn't cut out for living on the farm:

-The first time he heard the rooster he said, "It's an elephant!"
-When Hogan was teaching him to take off his hat and say Yee-haw, Caiden said "Ee-Awe" like a donkey!

-He wanted to take his shoes off inside the chicken barn to clean out the shavings and poop, not realizing he'd be standing directly on it with his shoes off!

Thanks Jamey for inviting us! We had a blast and the food was great! Thanks to Caiden, I got to eat two servings of homemade mac and cheese!

George Strait Concert

Just a few pics from the concert at the New Cowboy's Stadium.  We had BLAST and were so lucky to be a part of the first event hosted there.  It was a long and expensive night but well worth it!  Chilet has all of the pictures on her camera so these will have to do for now!

The Stadium

Smallers screen face the end zones; the big screens face the 50 yard line

Stage is to the bottom left...we were SO far away!  BUT, look how HUGE the screen is!

The roof opening...people went nuts!  You would have thought it was raining gold too!
