Halloween Party

We went to the Kovitch's Halloween party tonight with Jamey, Matt, and Addi and had a blast. Ate way too many sweets and there was a ton of people, but the kids had a blast wearing their costumes and riding on the hay ride! Caiden was in heaven riding the firetruck and meeting the firemen. He won 6th place and Addi won 4th place in the costume contest!

Thanks Jamey and Matt for having us over for the game. We had a great time relaxing and just being with friends for a few hours! Maybe Addi can wait a year to go to college and then they can go down to Austin together! OMG-can you imagine these two going to college??!!

Not Happy...

Poor guy! He HATES having his hair cut. He says the noise scares him! I'd rather go through this at home than in public! We tried that once and it didn't work! So, I guess Daddy will be cutting Caiden's hair for awhile!

A Visit to Mimi's

We just don't get over to visit Mimi enough! But, we were able to go while Aunt T.T. was in town. Caiden remembers who she is and knows exactly where she keeps the flashlights in her room-that is always the first thing he runs for! Mimi took Caiden downstairs to look at the skeleton and Halloween decorations. He had such a good time visiting with her and we are so thankful that she has recovered so well from her surgery!

Fun at the Fire House!

Everyday on the way to school, we drive by a fire station and look to see if the doors are open. Caiden thinks if the doors are still closed, the firemen are still sleeping! He is fascinated with the big trucks and loves playing with his fire trucks at home.

The Murphy fire station had their annual open house today so we knew Caiden would have a good time going. We saw the fire trucks and ambulance and even got our own personal tour of the fire station. We saw where the firemen sleep and even where they slide down the pole!

One of the firemen took Caiden over to the play house and let him help put out the fire with the hose! Caiden was a little timid with the pressure of the water but wanted to do it again!!!

We got some information on having his birthday party at the fire station so we'll see if Caiden is still on his fire truck kick!

Updates...

We've had a rough week with Caiden being sick and then giving it to me but we're all better now and have successfully gone through a container or disinfecting wipes and a can of Lysol!

Caiden is doing so much better at school. He isn't as fussy at drop-off, he's playing when I pick him up, and he's eating some at lunch! Despite the separation issues he had at the beginning leaving Jon and me, he's slowly starting to realize that we will always come to pick him up.

One thing Caiden has been doing a lot lately is signing songs he's learned at school. Here is my favorite: "All the bridges falling down, falling down, falling down; All the bridges falling down, right there lady!"

We're looking forward to a VERY busy October and can't wait to post pics of our little Fireman!
