KCS-Holiday Express Train

When we went out at 4pm we realized the line we were in was not moving fast at all and we probably would have had to wait at least 1-1 1/2 hours to get in the train. Nope-not with an impatient almost 3 year old. But, we decided to head back over at 6:30 after dinner and we only had to wait about 10 minutes! It was cold, but so worth it!
"Big Red Train Thomas" according to Caiden!

The first car was Santa! Caiden loved seeing him and we got a GREAT picture. Of course, I've already sent off for the Christmas cards so this one won't make it!

The next few cars were full of Santa figurines and massive train tracks with running trains! Caiden loved watching the trains (go figure) and he did not want to leave!

Thanksgiving Break!

What a wonderful, relaxing time! A whole week off of work (well, Jon had to work Monday and Tuesday!) to get Christmas shopping done and relax with the family! We attended the Turkey Trot again, ate lots of food, celebrated two birthdays, headed down to Austin to visit Aunt Casey and Uncle Steven for a few days, and saw the Holiday Express Train that came through Wylie. Time went by WAY to fast, but we are so thankful to have gotten to spend it with our loved ones. Only three weeks until Christmas Break! Who's counting?!

I want to go to Austin's...

For three days, Caiden kept telling me he wanted to go to Austin's house to play! So, we decided to go play while Jon was at games at the Stadium! We took the little guys to McDonald's for lunch then headed to Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine for some early Christmas fun! They got to look at the fish, play on the 4-wheelers, ride on the Carousel, and their favorite part, running in and out of the set-up tents in the camping section! The line for Santa was a little long so we didn't get pictures with Santa, but the boys waved and said hi!

New Moon

We did it...again! 12:01am showing of the Twilight Saga: New Moon!

I know, I am 30 years old but fell in love with the books and realized you are never to old to do something fun with friends like pulling an all-nighter (almost!) We went to Gloria's for dinner then headed to the theater around 7pm to get our seats for the 9:00 showing of Twilight. Genius. Watching the movies back to back and bypassing the pain of sitting on the floor for 4 hours waiting to get into the theater. But, after watching Twilight followed by New Moon, I was wiped out and skipped IHOP to get a few hours of sleep before heading back to school for our last day before the Thanksgiving Break. Makes for a long work day but totally worth the fun!
We had a blast hanging out in our group of 14 (I think!) and by golly the movie was FaBuLoUs! I can't wait to see it again! And yep, we'll all be there for the premier of Eclipse on June 30th!
Love ya girls!

Yes, we left the theater BEFORE Twilight to get a drink at Friday's!

Lake Texoma

Perfect camping weather! We had a blast at Lake Texoma with Aunt TT and Sean! Caiden went on his first real hiking trip through the woods! Wish we could do it every weekend!

Trick or Treat

What a great night! We had such a good time hanging out with some of our closest friends; the Helms Family, Steward Family, and Barner Family, Bebe and Poppy, and Grandma. Austin and Caiden started the day out carving pumpkins with Jon and Jon! Once everyone got there, we grilled out and ate way too much! The kids got dressed and we met up with some friends in the neighborhood to go trick or treating. Two wagons, 4 little kids, 2 older kids, 10 adults (and a cooler!) strolling down the street! Jon Steward had us hysterically laughing with his costume and I'm pretty sure half the neighborhood was completely shocked by his behavior. With baskets full to the top, we headed home and let the kids dig in for some sugar (as if they needed it after their skeleton cupcakes and dirt cups!) So much fun!
