Holy cow...getting a haricut is not an easy thing! Jon has cut Caiden's hair for almost 2 years at home and he screams each time. So, we finally decided to try going to get his hair cut. Not any better! He told us he was scared of the sound. We know it doesn't hurt, so he must truly be scared of the noise! I'll admit, it's much easier having someone from the outside cutting his hair. Daddy gets mad at him when it won't be still at home!
After getting a haircut, we stopped by Mimi's to visit her for a little while. She is doing so much better and her hair is growing in pretty good! She no longer has 24 hour care and can get around on her own using a walker. We are so proud of her accomplishments and thankful she has healed so well!
Caiden likes going over there because he always gets treats and loves playing with Mimi's flags! He found her flashlight this time too! It somehow became "my flashlight" within a matter of minutes but we were able to get him to put it back on our way out the door!
We met Nick for dinner at Applebee's and then stopped at Dairy Queen for some ice cream. I caved and got a chocolate extreme blizzard (oops...17.5 points-my dinner was only 6!) but it was delicious! Caiden had a chocolate sundae and LOVED every bite (except the ones Jon and I stole when Caiden wasn't looking so he didn't eat it all!) He was hyper on the car ride home!
We originally had plans to take Caiden on the DART train and out to eat at Mockingbird Station, but the weather didn't want to cooperate. We decided to save that for another day when it's not so yucky outside!

My daughter did the same thing the first two times I took her but this last time she sat still. She loves the firetruck or taxi and the videos at Cool Cuts so that helped. I hope it gets better.
