All better!

After two nights of feeling like we had an infant in the house again because we were getting up every few hours, we're finally back on track. Caiden had a virus that caused him to have high fever spikes (up to 104!) and a really nasty throat. Sat. he took a four hour nap (if they only did that EVERY day!) and then still slept his normal 11 hours last night! He woke up today a happy little kid again, fever free, and finally eating again. He had two pieces of cheese, 4 goldfish, 1/2 Nutra Grain bar, and 1 bite of a fish stick in a period of 60 hours. His poor tummy was probably starving! He started the day off right eating a cinnamon roll for breakfast =)

On another note...here's a picture of me when we went surfing on the lake. The only reason I'm posting a picture of me in a bathing suit on the Internet is b/c Jon is blocking half of me!

Graduation

Today was our graduation ceremony for my master's degree at UNT! Yipppeee...it's finally really over =) The day took a little different turn than we anticipated. Caiden was up all Thursday night with a fever, and still had it today. Jon ended up staying home with him, having to miss graduation. I was running off of three hours of sleep so although it was worth going, I was ready to be back home in my PJ's!

Mom, Dad, and Mimi came to the ceremony and they got to meet my closest friends in the program. We went to dinner at a new restaurant that took the place of an old favorite, The Texas Hamburger Factory in Lewisville. The food was good but we were a little disappointed because it just wasn't the same.

Mom and dad have all of the pictures on their camera so I'll post a few once I get them =)

It's Official...

Caiden is a Tiny Totter! I decided to just bite the bullet and get him started in the program at ASI. His classes will be on Wednesday night with his friend Addi (hopefully that will help!) Jon thinks he can break aways from football by then to come help out too! I'm SURE there will be many embarrassing stories to come!

Tiny Tots Gymnastics!

Tonight Caiden had his first (and maybe his last for awhile =) Tiny Tots Gymnastics class. A friend of ours introduced us to the class at ASI Gymnastics. It is for 18 mo-36 mo. kiddos so Caiden is by far one of the youngest ones. He LOVED jumping on the trampolines and beating the sticks to music but, he HATED having to stop one thing and move on to the next. Major meltdowns. (Julie, if you're reading this, I would imagine it came close to your experience you and Jake had at KinderMusik!)
I'm not sure if we'll stick with it or wait 6 mo. until he's 2. It was a little embarrassing having to leave to get juice b/c he couldn't handle going from dancing to the foam pit!

On the lake again...

Sunday after the concert, we were invited by our friends Shannon and Scott to go back to the lake since mom was already at the house watching Caiden from the night before! They just got a new boat that creates a huge wave for you to surf on. I actually stayed up this time but got the picture on Shannon's camera instead of mine! The goal is to let go of the rope and stay surfing behind the boat!

Brad Paisley Concert

What a fun summer! Once again, Caiden had the pleasure of Bebe and Poppy watching him so we could go out! We met up with some friends for dinner and then sweat our rear ends off sitting on the lawn at Brad Paisley. Despite the heat, we had a blast! We went back to Chilet's mom's apartment in Uptown for the night and ate at Rocko's Pizza Place...our new late night meal ritual when we are in uptown!
