Memorial Day Weekend

Let the non-stop fun begin! The Stewards came out to stay a few nights and celebrate Memorial Day weekend with us and I really don't think there was ever any downtime! We had an amazing weekend and feel so blessed to have gotten to spend time with so many of our closest friends! The boys absolutely love getting donuts for breakfast, sleeping on the pallet, ordering pizza, and playing til way past their bedtimes! But hey, only four days til summer starts!!! Might as well get a little practice in right?!

Day 1

Our friends let us use their pool while they were out of town so we took the Stewards over and invited the Helms' family too! You can't beat being able to use an outdoor kitchen and swim in a private pool! The little ones did so good swimming!

Day 2

On Sunday, we were invited over to a crawfish boil with some friends who always celebrate New Years Eve with us. It was SO hot outside-thank goodness for canopies, good food, and clouds!

Caiden, Austin, and Addi ran around for four hours in the backyard splashing from one pool to another, playing in the sprinklers, and jumping on the trampoline! They took a break every once in awhile for a quick bite to eat but not much else slowed them down! As soon as they went in to cool off and watch a movie, Caiden crashed. And, the rest of the evening was pretty much a goner~we just can't get away without a nap!

Even though I was scared about eating the crawfish (I hadn't had any since past trips through LA on Spring Break at least 8 years ago!) I decided to go for it! Man, was it worth it-and I haven't gotten sick yet! No more shellfish this week though!

Day 3

We took the kiddos to the pool Monday morning right when the it opened and Austin and Caiden both went down the slide like champs! The were so worn out from the weekend we only swam for an hour but that was good enough!

End of Year Cookout-Kinda!

We tried scheduling this thing three times and had to cancel! SO, when Jon told me the date all the coaches could make it, I refused to tell my team until the day of! Therefore, the the turnout wasn't like our normal End of Year Cookout, but we still had a blast! You know when there is still chicken and hotdogs ON the grill from the night before, people were too busy playing to clean up!

Hotel Party!

It doesn't beat Vegas, but we had a blast spending the night at a hotel for Bebe's 60th birthday! Sister and Sean came down for the weekend, Caiden got to swim, we had water-gun fights, and we ate some great cake!

"It" is a "She"

Apparently we are suspecting it's a girl! We couldn't get a really good shot between the legs, so we were instructed not to cut tags off of clothes yet! But, "it" is probably a "she." Although we were thinking another boy, we are excited for Caiden to be a good, protective, big brother!

I heard the words I DIDN't want to hear in the same sentence: big and girl. Those two words don't mix well in my world, but it is what it is! I'm sure Jon will eagerly steer her in the basketball direction and detour the ballet route, so maybe she'll be a b-ball star!

We are monitoring my placenta which is sitting low, so I will have a Level II sono July 1st to check on that. Therefore, we will most likely get a clear picture of our little one and know for sure then! It has been waiting and more waiting this round!

Barrett's B-day Party!

Barrett's Party was at the spray park in Allen...great weather although the water was a little chilly! Didn't really matter-Caiden didn't want anything to do with it! He just wanted to play on the big playground! He managed to stand in a puddle about 1/16th of an inch deep and stick his hand in once! Barrett on the other hand was runny around like crazy! Fun times!

Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's Day weekend was fabulous! Sister flew in town and we all stayed at mom and dad's for the weekend. Brenda was in Austin visiting Casey, so Jon came along too! We played at the park and grilled out on Sat. On Sunday morning, we picked up Mimi and ate lunch at the Spaghetti Warehouse-YUM! Caiden had a blast having a sleepover with TT and Bebe & Poppy!
