3 Days. 60 Miles. I Can Do That.

This weekend was one of many to come (hopefully) Susan G. Komen 3 Day walks.  I had an unforgettable time with Bree and Angie and couldn't have hoped for a better experience.  The tears,  laughter, pain, courage, determination, and support are indescribable.  We forgo the tents and stayed .5 mile from camp at the Double Tree and I have a feeling I won't ever want to "tent it" And I'm a camping kinda girl!  But after a 19.6 mile walk, I'm not so sure a tent is what I'll want to call my temporary home!
I knew my trainings leading to the walk weren't up to par so making the entire 60 miles wasn't something I was really striving for.  Even so, getting on that sweep van for the first time kinda stunk-there was a part of me that wanted to do it all...maybe next time.  My knee just didn't hold up on day 2. I made all 19.6 miles on day one,  14ish miles on day two, and 11ish miles on day 3.  I'd say I made out pretty good-and with NO blisters!

Opening Ceremonies-Collin Creek Mall!  Try going to one without crying...won't happen!

 Camp!

Day ONE!  Bam...until the silly knee got achy.  But it didn't stop me (until day 2-haha!)

Day TWO...we love medical supplies, sneaking into fire stations to go potty, and extra workouts!

Day THREE!

 Why we walk...

Thanks for coming to visit us along the way-Micah (and her boys), Grayson (and Keith & Sophia), and the Kovitch family with Elaine-a SURVIVOR!

DONE-at closing ceremonies!  Getting our shirts, listening to inspiring words, and honoring the survivors!

60 miles. 3 Days. 1 Goal.
